These are summer boots, very low, snow would get inside. They are maybe for fall or late spring. It’s high here [the deep sole] so you don’t get wet.

These elaborately stitched summer slippers have bleached skin tops and bearded seal soles. The ornamentation is done with strips and cut-outs of dyed skin. The soles are waterproof, with pleated toes and heels, and rise up around the edges of the shoes.
