Ed Gregorieff

Ed Gregorieff

Edward Larry Gregorieff was born in 1923 in the village of Ellamar on Prince Willam Sound. His father was Larry Gregorieff, from Afognak, and his mother was Natalia Malchoff, from Nuchek. Mr. Gregorieff passed away April 11, 2006. Mr. Gregorieff lived in the Prince William Sound area for over 70 years and spent most of that time in Tatitlek, where he worked as a commercial fisherman and logger. He was a respected Elder and speaker of the Prince William Sound dialect of the Suqpiaq (Alutiiq) language. [Last updated in 2013]
