Branson Tungiyan

Branson Tungiyan

Branson Tungiyan (Unguqti) was born and raised in Gambell. He is a speaker of the St. Lawrence Island Yupik language. Mr. Tungiyan is the former Director of the Eskimo Heritage Program at the Alaska Native non-profit organization Kawerak, Inc., and has worked for the Alaska Rural Systemic Initiative as its coordinator for the Inupiaq region. He has also served as the Vice-President of the Yupik Village of Gambell.
